ITAD / data destruction services
Plan media sanitization, secure custody, reuse, and recycling before assets leave the site. Ask who is doing each step, at which facility, and what evidence you receive.
R2v3 / responsible electronics management
R2v3 covers responsible electronics reuse and recycling processes, including data security requirements. Check the specific facility and certified process scope. Appendix B addresses data sanitization; Appendix C addresses testing and repair for reuse.
A logo is not proof that every process, location, or subcontractor is covered. Verify current certification and relevant appendices.
SERI: R2v3 process scope guidance ↗NAID AAA / secure information destruction
i-SIGMA’s NAID AAA certification is a third-party audited program for secure information destruction. Check the certified location, service scope, media types, and relevant endorsements—not just an old certificate.
Certification supports diligence; it does not eliminate your own policy, legal, or contractual obligations.
Verify NAID AAA services in the official directory ↗Ask for the evidence.
